British Blind Sport have been growing over the past 12 months with a number of exciting projects and programmes ahead of us. This year we celebrate our 40th year as the leading charity for visually impaired people in sport and as we drive forward with our new strategy to make a visible difference to blind and partially sighted adults and children, we need someone to lead our ambitious fundraising programme.
As the National Disability Sport Organisation representing visually impaired people, our work varies from providing grassroots opportunities to working with international athletes, leading on sight classification for national and international competitions and developing educational resources to assist coaches and PE teachers to deliver quality sporting experiences for blind and partially sighted people.
To support our sustainable business plan, your role as a member of the senior management team will be to pick up and lead on the design and implementation of diverse income generation streams including Major Donors, Community Fundraising, Legacy, Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship and Trusts and Foundations. An all-rounder, experienced and dynamic fundraiser who can think strategically and innovatively is who we are looking for.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in strategic fundraising and partnership working, preferably in a comparable organisation.
