Football

Introduction

The National 5-A-Side Football League for VI players was founded in 1980.  Football Clubs from various locations in Great Britain make up the structure of a very competitive and well-organised league which is played at various venues throughout the UK.

Partially Sighted Football and Blind Football both have an International structure, which is fully supported by the English Football Association (FA).  The Squads are able to train regularly and are involved in European and World Championship events.

BBS Development Days are hosted in various venues throughout the UK, with the intention of developing the potential, the talent and the involvement of both youngsters and adults in the many sports BBS has to offer. There is an annual Schools 5-a-side tournament open to all players under 18.

This tournament has found a home at Aston Villa Leisure Centre in Birmingham. Each year the competition showcases some ‘serious talent’ not to mention the ‘serious fun’ enjoyed by the footie mad youngsters!
