The National ‘Futsal’ Football League for VI players was founded in 1980. Football Clubs from throughout the UK make up the structure of a very competitive and well-organised league which is played at various venues throughout the UK.
Partially sighted and blind football both have an International structure, which is fully supported by the English Football Association (FA). The Squads are able to train regularly and are involved in European and World Championship events.
BBS development days are hosted in various venues throughout the UK, with the intention of developing the potential, the talent and the involvement of both youngsters and adults in the many sports BBS has to offer. There is an annual Schools 5-a-side tournament open to all players under 18.
This tournament has found a home at the ‘Telford Dome’ at the Telford Technical College. Each year the competition
showcases some ‘serious talent’ not to mention the ‘serious fun’ enjoyed by the footie mad youngsters!
If you are visually impaired, or know of someone who is, and are interested in getting involved, or require any further information, then please
