BBS does not receive any regular funding and depends on donations from individuals, companies, charitable trusts and foundations. We need to raise over £300,000 each year to run the charity so that we can continue to provide sports and leisure opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.
Your contribution, however big or small, really makes a huge difference to the lives of so many visually impaired children and adults.

Remember, if you are a tax payer, and give your full address, including postcode, you can Gift Aid your donation. BBS can then claim back from the Inland Revenue c28p for every £1.00 you donate … so a donation of £100 becomes £128.00 … which can’t be bad!
Some people, or groups of people, choose to sponsor an event or a sport of their choice. There are opportunities here to be ‘hands on’ with the event too. It’s great fun and always memorable.

Remember British Blind Sport in your Will. It won’t cost you a thing during your lifetime, and is probably far easier to arrange than you imagine. There are also tax savings on bequests. Many people prefer to make a donation to charity instead of sending flowers to a funeral.
You can help in a variety of ways by organising fundraising activities, helping at BBS events, coaching, providing transport for VI members, giving goods in kind and helping out in our office – the list is endless!
